Thompson Submachine Gun Magazine Pouch

This was the standard Army issue pouch for all models of Thompson SMG.  It was designed for 20-round magazines which were standard issue throughout most of WWII.  Later 30-round magazines were sometimes carried in these pouches by wrapping the top flap around the side of the magazine, so they would be help in by friction only.
