Extremely Disappointed

First off the good: The Stitching is high quality along with the leather, and both have a pleasant feel and look. The inside of the sporran is Lined in a canvas that feels like its a poly/cotton mix and seems reasonable in quality especially for the price. The belt is excellent the leather is sturdy and flexible and the buckle and stitching is top notch.
Now the Bad: The interior is heavily stained on the canvas, lots of spots with glue bleed through, water stains, brown marks and green oxidization from the rivets, the outside shows significant signs of water damage with large patches of obvious water staining on the front back and sides of the sporran. The tassels are also not at all straight or even. The center three tassels are correct but the left most tassel is too short and gives an unattractive and ahistorical look. I shortened the rightmost tassel to give the sporran an even and uniform look at the sacrifice of historical accuracy.
Finally the frankly unacceptable: The hanging loops on the back of the sporrans are frankly embarrassingly flimsy, I put on my sporran to see how it hung and while fitting it in the mirror the top rivets popped after a light adjustment and a few hops to settle the kilt. This is an appalling lack of QC and makes me doubt the entirety of the construction.
I hope a second run fixes the problems and brings this in line with the other products offered here.

I bought myself a fine kilt in Glasgow two years ago but had never seen a sporran I cared about——until I quite accidentally found this perfectly reproduced WWI Canadian Highland regiments sporran. No fur, no fuss. As a native Nova Scotian deeply interested in Canadian history, and especially in our troops' bravery and sacrifice in both World Wars, this was a real find for me. Thank you, WPG!

The overall quality is excellent.
However most would not realize that the tassels are not the right length. The middle and two outside tassels are suppose to be the same longer length.
If these were fixed it would be as claimed, a museum quality reproduction.

This is a very well crafted, detailed and resasonably priced sporran. I was impressed by the speed with which it was shipped/delivered and the overall appearrance and condition of the piece
