It looks and feels excellent! My only very small complaint is that the lid doesn't stay on the tin as sturdily as I thought it might. But that may be what the originals were like also, I'm not sure. But not too big a deal, I'll probably end up just putting some food in it and wrapping a rubber band around it before an event.

Delivery was shockingly fast via DHL, and the tin itself is a fantastic copy. I do not have an original to compare to, but based off photos, this is the best repro available, the price is not cheap for what is essentially a simple tinned box, but you absolutely get your moneys worth if you have an eye for detail. Certainly recommending them to the rest of my section.

These are almost identical to original Emergency Ration Tin boxes, right down to the stampings on the back and the varnish/lacquer seal. If they had an original sealing band and contained a reproduction chocolate ration, you would have a difficult time determining this was not an original.

Compared it to a real one I have that came from a pilot flying Hudsons on convoy patrol. Main difference is that there's no rust on the repro one!
