PROJECTS IN THE WORKS
Slouch Hat from Akubra. WPG has had
a new run of high quality fur felt slouch hats made by
Akubra of Australia, world famous as a supplier of slouch
hats for many decades. These are the common British Army
pattern, with a press stud on the left side to hold up the
brim, and a raw brim with no ribbon. Inside hooks are fitted
for attaching a leather chin strap (not included). Cotton
khaki pagri is included. $135

Mk II Helmet Shells. Original British (not Belgian) WWII production Mk II Helmet shells, cleaned and repainted in smooth finish olive green. No markings. This is the shell only, no liner or chinstrap. $35
Complete Mk II Helmet. This consists of above helmet shell, WPG reproduction liner (specify size required), early war style chinstrap with springs, and helmet net. Some assembly required. $75
MK II Helmet Liners. New reproduction. Made to the same pattern as the original, but with modern materials that are more durable and will not stick to your hair. Complete liner including the rubber bumpers, upper padded cross, and brass attaching bolt/nut. The chinstrap is not a part of the liner. Available in size 58, 59, 60 61, 62 (hint: turn the measuring tape over and read the cm side) or 7 1/4, 7 3/8, 7 5/8, 7 3/4. $35

Helmet Net Scrim. I have finally located a supply of authentic looking scrim for helmet nets, but only in two colors: Green and Dark Brown. Two yards of each color (4 yards total) for $10
Helmet Covers: New made copy of the hessian (burlap) helmet covers used by British troops in both world wars, with camouflage loops, $12
Slouch Hat Chinstrap. New reproduction of the standard WWII tan leather chinstrap for slouch hats. Attaches to hooks inside the hat. Also suitable for Gurkha hats. $7 each,
or $5 with the purchase of a slouch hat. Pith Helmets, Wolseley Pattern. This is the type used from 1900-1943, with the long neck flap. New reproduction available in sizes 7, 7 1/4, 7 1/2, 7 5/8, 7 3/4. $60
Service Dress Caps. I now have a new and much improved run of British WWI style SD caps. It has taken a great deal of time and effort to get a much more exact shape to these. They are complete with buttons and brown leather chinstrap. Available in sizes 7 to 8 (56-64cm), $65

Trench Cap, the soft version of the SD cap introduced in 1916. Size 7 1/8 to 7 3/4 (57 to 62), with leather chinstrap, $45.

Cap Comforters, reproduction. This is the British knit cap commonly associated with Commandos, but actually issued to all British soldiers. To operate, you put your fist in one end, make a sock puppet, and roll it up (yes, many people ask). My repros are an exact copy of the WWII version in light khaki color. A limited supply has just arrived. $12
Field Service Caps, or F.S. Caps, or Forage Caps. Reproduction. Khaki wool, with brass Kings Crown General Service buttons. This cap was worn by most of the British Army from 1937 until the end of WWII. $28 OUT OF STOCK

Tam O'Shanter, khaki wool serge, copied from a 1940 dated original. These were worn by all Scottish troops, and later in the war by all troops assigned to the Highland Divisions. Sizes 7 to 7 5/8. $38
