AERTEX Desert Shirts: Exact reproduction of the shirts worn by the Desert Rats (correctly termed Shirts, Tropical, Cellular) in the correct Aertex fabric. Sizes 36-52. Price $45.  Add to Cart
British WWII pattern reproduction Aertex Khaki Drill Bush Jackets. This is the British, not Indian, pattern, with pointed upper pocket flaps and no bellows in the pocket. Sizes 36-52 chest. $48
Bush Jackets in Jungle Green. These are the same 1941 Pattern I have made for years, now available in JG for Pacific Theater. Sizes 38-52, $48
Belted Bush Jackets. After years of requests, I have produced the tailor made version of the bush jacket usually worn by officers. These are made in sturdy drill cloth in either desert khaki or jungle green. All have standard plastic BD type buttons and open stand and fall collar for wear with or without a shirt. Available in sizes 38 to 52 (Long sizes 42L-52L). Order size Long if you are taller than 5' 10". These are a fairly close cut for semi-dress wear, so order a size larger if you need room to bat at cricket or swing a machete. Be sure to specify Khaki or Jungle Green., $48
Gurkha Shorts. Officially known as "Shorts, KD, 1949 Pattern," these shorts became famously popular as "Gurkha Shorts" during a 1980's fashion craze. WPG fans have asked for these shorts for years, and now we have them. Made of sturdy khaki drill like the originals, not the flimsy Chinese made copies. Two side slash pockets, no back pockets. Inseam 12 inches. Crossover front waistband with two side buckles and lots of pleats. These are high waisted, so measure your size at navel height. $38   Add to Cart

Tropical Battledress and Jungle Greens:  In 1943 the British Army adopted a tropical uniform based on the popular wool battledress.  The jacket was waist length, made in Aertex cellular weave cotton, and was usually worn without a shirt.  The trousers were sturdy cotton drill, with pockets and belt loops similar to wool BD.  This uniform was made in both khaki (used primarily in theMediterranean and Italy) and Jungle Green (used in Burma and the Pacific). Aertex tropical BD Jacket, specify Jungle Green or Khaki, sizes 40-52. All have long bodies. Standard 6 inch body taper between chest and waist size. SHORTS & TROUSERS
Khaki Drill Shorts with Turn-Ups (Bombay Bloomers). This is the rare early WWII version of the KD shorts with long legs that button up to form shorts. They could be lowered to form high-water trousers in the evening for protection against cold or mosquitos. Reproduction, as modeled in the photo at top of page. Sizes 32-48, $40
Khaki Drill Shorts, 1941 pattern. This pattern has the two front closure straps (not crossover straps), front FFD pocket, baggy and long. 32-44 waist, reproduction, $38 Add to Cart
British early WWII pattern Khaki Drill Trousers. This is the early pattern with no back pockets, two on-seam side pockets, and field dressing pocket on right front. Brass buttons as used on the earliest production of these trousers. Reproduction. Waist sizes 30-48. $45.
Mid-War Tropical BD Trousers. Introduced around 1943, these trousers were worn throughout much of the Mediterranean campaign and in Southeast Asia. They are easily identified by the pleated leg pocket and lack of belt loops. Currently these are only available in khaki. These trousers are not offered on sale with the tropical BD jacket. $45

Tanker Coveralls. I found a few British Army khaki drill coveralls, as used by armored vehicle crews in warm weather areas, like the Desert. These are Indian made, 1944 dated, and unissued. These have a left chest and left thigh pocket, pass through side pockets, belted back, gunmetal buttons. They appear to be the largest size made. Fits my 46 chest nicely, a bit tight across the back of the shoulders, roomy everywhere else. Ample length for my 6' height. These are unissued, but the dye job is a bit shoddy and the khaki color appears mottled. Limited quantities, $75
British Indian Army Khaki Full Hose. WPG found a warehouse bulging with original khaki wool full hose made for the old Indian Army. Beautiful hose made in a very distinctive shade of brown khaki. $15 Add to Cart
