Sizing: Description is correct about being long in the body. I wear a 42 jacket but took a chance and ordered one size up. Should have ordered my "correct" size. I have hot water washed and dried twice in an attempt to shrink the sleeves with modest success.
Quality: I have several WPG Aertex products and the JG's all feel softer than the Khaki versions except this one. It seems to be a sturdier Aertex material than the others which for me isn't a bad thing considering it's a jacket not a shirt. No issues with too small button holes or loose buttons. Definitely well made!
Overall: Despite the length which was explained in the description, I still give it a 5. Order your normal size if wearing with undershirt or regular shirt. Mine will accommodate both and the WPG British Jumper as well without feeling restrictive. Will probably order another in proper size and use this one for late fall layering.

I am very pleased with my Aertex jacket. I took the advice from some of the previous reviewers, and ordered a size up. I usually wear a size 44L jacket, and went for the 46L, which, for me was the right choice. After one wash and air dry, the shirt fits me like a nice dress shirt, with the shoulder seams in the right place. I am 6'4", and the length of the body is perfect. I can blouse it over the WPG tropical trousers in battledress fashion, or even tuck it into my normal trousers, and wear as a shirt. For a slightly looser fit, consider going two sizes up from your normal size. I haven't seen the jacket against a real one, but it looks good, appears to be up to WPG's usual high quality standards.

Great looking and a good length and overall fit a tiny bit narrow on the shoulders. I will be wearing it for my early Indochina reenactment. I was so impressed by the aertex shirt that I went and ordered the battle dress jacket right away. The fabric is really great for hot weather, ventilates well and dries fast. What was designed for the Western Desert works for the British summer, too... As for sizing, the jacket seems to run a bit small. I wear 42, got 44 to allow for body taper, and it fits more like a 42 in the shoulders. No problem for me, but if you want a more "blowsey" look, consider going a further size up.

The intentionally loose weave makes this a great jacket for summer wear when you just need a couple more pockets and/or may need to roll down the sleeves in a frigid restaurant! Absolutely a size up from what you normally wear. I added snaps on the inside of the waist strap to hold it out of the way when not in use. Any chance for a Jungle Green version!

I am disappointed by the cup(cutting) of the battle dress, the width of shoulders has no correspondence with the width of the breast. In size 44 I meet with a width of breast of 127cm with a width of shoulder of 49cm which is equal to the size 40 or 42! It is anything. A size 44 should have a width of shoulder of 54cm. That planned to make you? Mrs to pay off?

I can't stop saying: "Very good quality". Very nice, comfortable, except one thing - I need larger jacket. 42 is good, 44 will be the best! 42 is a little bit narrow at the shoulders and at the chest.
