Fits perfectly and looks just like the Uniforms in my World War 1 uniform book

I deliberately ordered one of these jackets from the older production run as they are far more accurate than the recent ones. They are a good quality serge, a decent colour shade and with the correct white-drill partial lining/reinforcement. They are also tailored correctly in the characteristic WW1 "box" shape that was unfitted unlike later garments. I ordered a 46" and it fits very well indeed although a little short in the body for me at 6'3" (a long fitting was out of stock). Sleeve length is great. I've since replaced the collar hooks with more substantial originals and given it a good steam press which improves the appearance no end. Additionally, I've added a row of machine stitching around each sleeve at the shoulder and passing over the epaulettes as per originals. Inner seams are overlocked which contrasts with originals which were left raw but these are hidden when the garment is worn. All in all a very, very good reproduction of this classic garment !

Well-made and looks just like an original. Seems true to size. The pockets are perfectly placed (unlike the image above), the breast pockets level with the second button down. It also has the first field dressing pocket, which is not mentioned in the description. I can't wait to swap off the buttons for original American eagles in honor of the 27th Infantry Division!

Right out of the bag: great fit, great look, great construction! I was correct to order a size up--there's room to move and twist. Comfortable and the color is spot-on! Had to reinforce the buttons, but no big deal. Why did I wait so long to buy one?

A great tunic with a perfect fit and a real feel to the fabric BUT ... the breast pockets were crooked and one and one quarter inches too high.(Their tops should line up with the second button down). I had to move them and sew new rifle patches with cloth cut off from the long trousers.It should not have been necessary for me to do this.With antique Canadian buttons and badges all is now perfect. A happy ending.

You tall guys out there should get this one over others, the long sleeve size is a blessing for those of us over 5'10. For others, the pattern allows you to take it in at the cuff as needed.
