2021 Production 1902 Pattern Service dress (2024-11-06)
As stated above; the material is a fantastic colour, but too soft and smooth - It's more akin to the current issue British Army No.2 Dress in terms of texture (if not smoother). Recommended for film and theatrical performances; Kitchener's Volunteer Army OR anyone with sensitive skin, but for anything else, I would much prefer the old production material.

That being said; the cut and production quality seems fantastic! Even a pocket watch pocket on the trousers - Some nice touches!

I hate being so critical, because WPG are fantastic and my wardrobe is full of their kit and uniforms!

The tunic and trews are made from nice brown shade, but struture of wool is very soft (no offence). Not so strong as early production. This is useable for Kitchener's new army or for films and theatres, but for reenactors to hardcore events I wouldn't recommend it. Time will show, but at first look I'm sceptic. Anyway work is excellent, very nice buttons and details, perfect shade and accurate sizes. If you're reeenactor for shows or banquets, this is the best choise. If you're reenactor for surrival in trenches or wildnature in WW1 historical period, rather buy the early (heavy wool) production ;)
