Bought one initially and liked it well enough to buy another. Only issue is, Jerry said they made the French buttons slightly larger than the originals, however, I think the button holes are the old French size. Had to use a seam ripper to carefully open up the holes to accept the buttons when connecting the two together. My original '52 pattern shelter quarter buttons fit prior to "upsizing" for Jerry's so bear that in mind. Seam ripper is your friend for most WPG button holes.

So pleased to see this version of the Shelter half, good through early WW2 up through Indochina/Algeria. Thick cotton fabric, very water repellant, with head slot. Quality construction.
